Add a Collab: How to Co-Host Events on Vendie with Team Invites

Every great event has a team behind it. Vendie makes it dead simple to build yours — invite vendors, recruit street team reps, add co-organizers, and manage everyone from one place.

The Build Your Team Feature

On every event management page, you'll find the "Build Your Team" section with three tabs:

🏪 Vendors Tab

Browse every vendor on the platform, filtered by category (food, DJ, photography, decor, security, etc.). Each vendor shows:
  • Star rating and review count

  • Category and location

  • Booking status (available, already booked, pending)
  • One-tap booking: Select a vendor, set your price, add a message, and send the booking invite. The vendor gets notified instantly and can accept or counter-offer.

🎯 Street Team / Reps Tab

Find and recruit reps to promote your event. Reps earn commission on every ticket they sell through their unique promo codes. Browse by:
  • Performance stats (events promoted, total sales)

  • Location (local reps know the area)

  • Availability
  • Send a rep invite with one tap. They'll get a notification with your event details and commission structure.

    🎟️ Attendees Tab

This is where the viral text invite magic happens. Three quick-share buttons:
  • 💬 Text Invite — opens your phone's messaging app with a pre-written invite

  • 📤 Share — native share sheet (AirDrop, Instagram, etc.)

  • WhatsApp — direct WhatsApp share
  • Plus an email invite section for bulk invitations.

    Co-Organizer System

The most powerful collab feature is co-organizer promotion. Here's how it works:

  • You send text invites to people you trust

  • They RSVP "Going" to your event

  • From the Text Invite Hub's RSVP Tracker, tap the crown icon next to their name

  • They're instantly promoted to co-organizer

  • They now have access to the Text Invite Hub and can send invites from their own contacts
  • What Co-Organizers Can Do

  • Send text invites to their own contact list

  • Track RSVPs for people they invited

  • See the viral chain analytics

  • Invite their friends to invite their friends
  • What Co-Organizers Can't Do

  • Edit event details (date, time, price, description)

  • Manage vendor bookings

  • Access financial information

  • Promote other co-organizers (only the original organizer can)
  • This keeps your event secure while letting trusted people help spread the word.

Building Your Event Crew: A Step-by-Step Playbook

    Week 4 Before Event

  • Book your vendors — use the Vendors tab to find and book food, DJ, photographer, security

  • Recruit 3-5 reps — send rep invites to street team members in your city

  • Identify 5 key people — friends, influencers, or community leaders who know lots of people
  • Week 3 Before Event

  • Send initial text invites — blast your contact list (aim for 50-100 texts)

  • Promote co-organizers — once your key people RSVP, promote them immediately

  • Set up promo codes — give each rep and co-organizer a unique tracking code
  • Week 2 Before Event

  • Check viral chain — see which co-organizers are bringing the most people

  • Send reminder texts — nudge "Maybe" RSVPs to commit

  • Encourage chain invites — text your "Going" list: "Bring your crew! Invite friends through your invite link"
  • Week 1 Before Event

  • Final push — send last-chance texts to undecided contacts

  • Review RSVP tracker — get accurate headcount for vendors and venue

  • Thank your co-organizers — they helped fill your event for free
  • Why This Beats Traditional Event Promotion

    | Traditional | Vendie Collab |
    |------------|---------------|
    | Post on social media and hope | Personal texts with 98% open rate |
    | Pay for ads ($500+) | Free viral chain invites |
    | Hire a promoter ($1,000+) | Promote co-organizers for free |
    | Manually track RSVPs in spreadsheets | Real-time RSVP tracker with analytics |
    | No idea who's actually coming | Viral coefficient shows growth rate |
    | Vendors found through Google searches | One-tap vendor booking from marketplace |

    Pro Tips for Co-Hosting

  • Choose co-organizers from different social circles — if all your co-organizers know the same people, the chain won't spread far

  • Give co-organizers a goal — "Can you get 20 people to RSVP this week?" gives them something to aim for

  • Use the viral coefficient — if it's above 1.0, your event is growing on its own. If it's below, send more direct invites

  • Combine with street team — reps earn commission, co-organizers spread the word. Together they're unstoppable

  • Track chain depth — if invites are reaching Level 3+ (friends of friends of friends), your event has real organic buzz
  • Get Started

Open any event you're organizing, scroll to Build Your Team, and start inviting. Add vendors, recruit reps, and send your first text invites. Then promote your best people to co-organizers and watch the chain reaction fill your event.
